About Delivery
Once your timber order is cut, trimmed and checked we will then contact you to arrange delivery.
Timber is heavy and bulky so good communication at this point is essential. You will need to ensure there is adequate access for the delivery vehicle and a safe place to unload.
Normal delivery, locally is by our own vehicle, nationwide is by pallet network courier. In either case delivery is curb side. Our drivers are not insured to carry your timber into your house, or around your property. Local deliveries our driver will require help to unload. Nationwide deliveries by pallet, the driver will generally be as helpful as possible but it is your responsibility to unload the timber. Remember timber can be very heavy and it may be wise to ensure you have adequate labour or equipment on site to handle the timber during and after delivery.
Our products are sent out in good faith and occasionally goods are misrouted, lost in transit or may be subject to delays beyond our control. If the contents of your parcel are for installation on site, we do not recommend you schedule any work or book any contractors until you have received and checked the goods. We cannot be held responsible or be liable for any losses, damages, charges, compensation or expenses as a result of any delay in delivery.
Missed deliveries will result in your order being returned to us or your local pallet network hub. This will result in a re-delivery which you may be charged for. In extreme cases pallets can be returned to us because the courier was unable to deliver; in this case there is a charge for the return journey plus an additional charge for shipping it out again. These costs would need to be addressed before your order can be redelivered
Please note that we reserve the right to cancel orders or apply additional delivery charges if the items you have ordered may cause issues outside our normal delivery parameters i.e. exceptionally heavy or long, likely to be damaged in transit, or being delivered to an offshore address. If this is a problem we will contact you to discuss, before scheduling your order for production.
For special projects and exceptionally large orders we can arrange; dedicated haulage contractors, crane off loads, timed deliveries etc. If you have any special requirements like this please make contact before placing your order as there will be additional charges which we are happy to discuss and confirm before you proceed.
You are always welcome to collect your order from the sawmill by prior arrangement.
